Mitac Mio A700 GPS

This is an older PDAPhone with built-in GPS I bought on 9 Oct 2006. It has a QVGA 2.7″ TFT touch-screen LCD. Based on the 520MHz Intel PXA270 CPU with SiRFstar III GPS, I found it fast and responsive. It uses the Mapking 2007 navigation software that is ok to use and comes with Malaysia and Singapore maps. This video shows a simulated drive from the Federal Territory Mosque to the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (Petronas Twin Tower). Compared to the Papago Z-820, it lacks the 3D buildings and features, the screen layout is more cluttered, the voice navigation is less talkative, and the screen is portrait-based. PDAclub.pl – CeBIT 2010 Sygic Aura

Sygic Aura – new edition of Sygic navigation software for iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, Windows CE and Linux. Now it is much more than beautiful nav app. It has some social network functions (see Your friends on map, text them, navigate to them) and detailed city guides with lots of POIs and history background. Sygic Mobile Maps (available now) and AURA (coming soon) have been developed over the past years by separate teams, have different user interfaces, use different databases. AURA is not Mobile Maps+, it was developed from scratch and it is a wholly new different product.

A look at the TeleNav Shotgun Personal Navigation Device

TeleNav has been supporting navigation software on mobile phones (primarily carrier branded) for years and they now bring their software to a dedicated GPS device. The device is sleek and slim and offers a good experience. There are a couple of things tat could be fixed, but it is a decent device for a 1st generation model.
